ZAM alloy coated steel

Zn-6% Al-3% Mg alloy coated steel (ZAM)
ZAM alloy coated steel is currently the highest corrosion resistance of the new zinc-based alloy coated steel coating. In the lab cycle testing corrosion resistance of traditional galvanized layer (Zn-0.2% Al) of 18 times. The reason is that magnesium is added to change the organizational structure of the coating, in corrosive environments magnesium can inhibit the formation of long-term zinc carbonate and zinc oxide and other non-protective corrosion products. Magnesium-containing zinc-based plating corrosion product has excellent effect of inhibiting cathodic reaction. ZAM alloy coated steel is mainly used in the construction industry.
